Reanaissance city
United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Renaissance City is a smart city for 40,000 inhabitants, future vision of the quality and historical identity and of the Italian cities. It combines research and sustainability with the characteristics of Italian landscape and urban spaces which are appreciated throughout the world. The plan is based on a regular lattice, which marks urban blocks of different sizes. A large ring interferes the reticulum: it is constituted by a channel and by road axes on which the general services of the city are arranged. The settlement rule is extended outside the urban network through a system of functions integrated into the landscape. These external functions complete the facilities and the services offered by the city. Within the urban pattern are identified the Large Urban Functions which are important and significant centralities of the city: the Mosque, the Museum of the Risorgimento, the Shopping Mall and the Performing Art and Fashion Design Center.
